Ali says the best thing about being an artist is that you can say whatever you want, you can wear whatever you want, and you can do whatever you want. And everyone says it’s OK because she’s an artist. I have to agree with that, as I sit here in a motor home in Miami, writing this story with my dogs beside me watching. The worst thing? Not knowing if you’re going to make any money next month. But, isn't that part of the thrill of being an artist? The unknown -- then finding a creative way to manage it.
