One of the best times for wildlife viewing is at the sunset. During the winter, the days are short, and it takes a bit of planning to find the best spot where the light hits the water just right to get stunning reflections and to watch the birds in their natural state. Here we see spoonbills and ibis feeding in the shallow marshes before finding their rookeries for the night. These are seen on Blackpoint Wildlife Drive, just inside the refuge. Blackpoint Drive is a 6-7 mile drive rich with scenes like these. A mecca for wildlife photographers.
