West Bay a field afar and Econfina – The Econfina Creek in Bay and Washington counties is favorite spot in the Florida Panhandle for paddlers and tubers. The main park area improvements include easier access to Pitt and Sylvan Springs, two icy cold clear springs that feed into the Econfina. There you can easily view the tiny spring as it boils and bubbles up through the limestone although I would not say that it “boils.” This is a favorite spot for families on the weekends for cooking out and swimming.

The Econfina is a "tanin" river, meaning it's tea colored and the water is dark.  The springs are crystal clear and I found them intermingled, depending upon the flow of water.
